SINGLEish... From Game to Grace
Singleish: From Game to Grace is a fiction novel that explores love, betrayal, ego, and the fragile journey toward self-discovery. The book is told through the eyes of Ramone, who is a charismatic, unapologetic man who thought he had life all figured out—this story dives deep into the chaotic world of situationships, secrets and lies.
Let customers speak for us
from 31 reviewsthe things this man was doing to appease his sexual appetite and suppress his mommy issues !! he did his big ones and then found love but at what cost and is it too late ??!! i can’t wait for book 2
This book was a fantastic read from start to finish. First of all, I absolutely loved the cover it immediately caught my attention and set the tone for what was inside.
The story follows Ramone as he talks to his therapist about all of his escapades, and the way it’s written makes you feel like you’re sitting in the room with them. The therapist asks thought-provoking questions that really get to the root of where Ramone’s behaviour comes from, which added so much depth to the story and kept me fully engaged.
This book was also incredibly nostalgic for me. The references to growing up in the Caribbean and even mentions of the MSN days took me straight back to my childhood and teenage years. Those moments made the story feel even more personal and allowed me to connect with it on a deeper level.
I would definitely give this book 5 stars. It’s thought-provoking, full of surprises, realistic, and a real page-turner. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m already looking forward to reading more from this author!
Ahhhhh, where do I even begin?! This novel had me in such a chokehold! 😭🔥
I absolutely LOVED the way this story was delivered to us. Ramone talking to his therapist about all of his gyalis behaviour, Brilliant! And just when you think Ramone couldn’t possibly surprise us anymore with his antics… it somehow gets even worse! 😂
I loved the strong Jamaican influence throughout the story, and especially how it was stripped right back to his mum and dad’s relationship. Learning the real reason she moved to England, and the impact that had on Ramone, added so much more depth to his character.
His mum leaving him in Jamaica at such a young age clearly played a huge part in shaping the person he became and helped explain some of his actions. Then you’ve got his cousin Jermaine and his dad, both influencing him with their own womanising ways… honestly, the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree! 👀
Such a good read, and I cannottttt wait for Part Two! 😩📖🔥
Where do I start? Alexa play Still Not A Player by Joe & Big Pun while I talk my stuff.!
This story surprised me in the best way. I knew it wasn’t going to be a typical romance but the story of this reformed player surprised me. This man had me turning my nose up at him for 80% of the book 😩 Ramone was into some stuff and into these women! Did he turn it around, yes, but all his actions came and did a dirty slap to his face! I need book two ASAPPPPP!
Ramone has spent years cheating on his longtime girlfriend, Corrine, while trying to fill an emotional void rooted in childhood abandonment and unhealthy examples of masculinity. Through therapy, he’s forced to confront the choices he’s made, the people he’s hurt, and whether he’s truly capable of becoming a different man.
Singleish isn’t a romance that asked me to root for a perfect MMC it gave real, messy healing in motion and just when I thought I knew where things were headed… the ending completely flipped the script.
This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Such a great read. Just when you thought the storyline couldn’t get any juicier you’re hit with another twist of events leaving me wanting more. Highly anticipating a chapter 2. I need to know what happens next for Ramone
First of all... the spice was SPICE-ING. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ D.S. Hudson did not come to play.
Now, confession time: I spent about the first 90% of this book REALLY disliking the MMC. I wanted to shake him, yell at him, and occasionally throw my Kindle across the room. But that's exactly what made this story so addictive—I had to know how he was going to redeem himself (if that's even possible - because URGH)
The emotional tension, the banter, the chemistry, and the slow unraveling of the characters kept me completely invested. By the end, I was eating my words and grinning like an idiot.
This book had me laughing, frustrated, swooning, and fanning myself all in the same sitting. If you love romance with real emotional payoff, unforgettable characters, and enough spice to leave your Kindle smoking, SINGLEish deserves a spot at the top of your TBR!
Five stars without hesitation. Now excuse me while I recover from that ending.
HAVE YOU EVER PICKED UP A BOOK KNOWING ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT THE PLOT, ONLY FOR IT TO COMPLETELY SURPRISE YOU? THATS EXACTLY WHAT SINGLEISH: FROM GAME TO GRACE DID FOR ME.
RAMONE IS THE KIND OF MAIN CHARACTER YOU IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZE AS A WALKING RED FLAG, BUT SOMEHOW YOU STILL FIND YOURSELF ROOTING FOR HIM. BENEATH ALL OF HIS FLAWS, YOU CAN SEE THE POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH, AND THAT KEPT ME INVESTED IN HIS JOURNEY.
I ALSO LOVED THAT PORTIONS OF THE BOOK WERE WRITTEN IN PATOIS, WHICH ADDED AUTHENTICITY AND DEPTH TO THE STORY. THE NOVEL EXPLORES DIVERSE LIFESTYLES, THE IMPORTANCE OF THERAPY, THE LASTING IMPACT OF CHILDHOOD TRAUMA, HEARTBREAK, AND THE SELF-REFLECTION THATS OFTEN NECESSARY FOR REAL CHANGE.
Very efficient and friendly
Great!
I was smiling, laughing, fearing and crying with this book.
Amazing read 👏🏾
Such a great book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don’t particularly read or class myself as a reader but this was a great book to start my journey. There’s a character for every reader which I loved and appreciated the descriptive nature. It gave me such amazing highs and lows. The authors made me empathise with the main character so much despite the nonsense he was putting me through.
Every time I thought we settled and found a stable pace something exciting would happen. Which led to me reading the book in about 3 days 😅Absolutely captivating!
P.S Still can’t get over chapter 14.
And
Can’t wait for the second book. 😁
To the Authors hurry up and getting printing 😊
Thanks AP ❤️
Great
This book kept me entertained and emotionally conflicted at the same time, which honestly made it hard to put down after Chapter 5. Mandy was easily my favourite character; I loved how she playfully teased Ramone and took her time building the sexual tension instead of rushing everything. At the same time, I couldn’t fully support her choices because the cheating storyline frustrated me a little. Ramone also made things worse because he honestly didn’t seem to care who he hurt along the way. Still, that mix of charm, drama, and messy real-life emotions is exactly what made the book feel so addictive and real. The ending!!! Woooooow!!! I didn’t see that coming!!!! Surely has to be a part 2.
This book had me completely emotionally wrecked in the best and worst way possible. One minute I was crying, the next I was angry, then somehow completely drawn in and weirdly turned on by the intensity of it all. It’s one of those books you don’t want to put down because every chapter pulls you deeper into the emotions and chaos of the characters.
What really got me was how realistic it felt. Even though it’s fiction, the situations and emotions felt painfully real to me, especially having experienced being with someone who serially cheated. The book didn’t just paint him as a villain it actually explored why someone can become that way, the damage behind the behaviour, and how complicated love can get when betrayal keeps repeating itself. That honesty made it hit even harder.
I loved that it made me feel conflicted. I found myself understanding him while still being angry at him, and I think that’s what made the story so addictive. It wasn’t a perfect fairytale romance, it was messy, emotional, toxic at times, but believable.
Part of me desperately wants a second book because I’m not ready to let the story go, but another part of me almost doesn’t want one unless the characters finally get some peace and a genuinely happy ending. I think what I wanted most was to see growth, healing, and a more settled version of love instead of constant chaos.
Overall, this book left me emotionally exhausted in a way only a really powerful story can. If a book can make you cry, get angry, feel understood, and keep you hooked all at once, then it’s definitely done its job.
This book is well written, captivating and exciting in more ways than you can imagine. I was fully invested from the start and really enjoyed the experiences of the different characters. There's something that most can relate too but there's nothing predictable about it. Towards the end i thought i had an idea what might happen and i was pleasantly suprised with jaw dropping twists and turns.
This book exceeded my expectations and it is highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!
